AED
EDUCATION
In our AED simulation, you will learn how to use an Automated External Defibrillator, or AED. You'll learn how to accurately recognize and respond to a case of cardiac arrest, send someone to call for help, work closely alongside a rescuer performing CPR, and how to administer defibrillation to a patient's heart with an AED until help arrives.
To complete our virtual reality Automated External Defibrillator (AED) simulation, users will have to:
-
Attempt to wake the victim
-
Get someone to call 911
-
Get someone to begin CPR
-
Find and deploy the AED device
-
Turn on AED and attach pads
-
Clear the area, deliver electric charge
-
Signal to resume CPR
-
Repeat until help arrives or patient recovers
This breakthrough learning module is a result of the hard work of computer scientists, subject matter experts, game designers, and an educator with over 20 years teaching experience. Read our behind-the-scenes development blog to learn more about how we made the module.
This module works great as part of any existing first aid training programs, as an addition to your existing OSHA training programs, and in tandem with our VR CPR module. Better yet, you can bundle the module as part of our Industrial Safety or Workplace Safety packages. Whether you work in an office or on a construction site, in civic service or the private sector, proper AED administration can save lives.
